My Additional Terms
These terms and conditions are in addition to the ones on the driveJohnson’s
website or app.
Time Slots
Time slots are given for a weekly lesson slot, this will not normally change, but occasionally changes may need to be made, these will be notified as soon as possible in advance.
If you know that you will not be able to make it one week or are going on holiday please let me know as soon as possible.
Drink and Drugs
Any pupil that is, or believed to be, under the influence of drink or drugs when coming for a lesson will have that lesson cancelled and lose their payment for that lesson.
All future lessons will be cancelled, any additional credit will be returned and no more lessons will be offered. This includes turning up with a hangover, as this would mean
there is good chance that you are still over the drink drive limit, even if you are under, being ill with a bad headache, you shouldn't be driving.
Payment
All lessons MUST be paid for at least 48 hours in advance, any lessons not paid for in advance cannot be taken and your slot could be lost.
We do accept cash payments, but you must pay in advance for your lesson, we recommend paying directly from your bank account.
We strongly recommend that you take advantage of our discounts when paying for a block of 10 hours of lessons. When buying a block of lessons, these do not have to be taken in one block
or dates booked when paying. Any unused time that you are in credit for will be returned to you when you pass your test or wish to stop lessons for any reason.
Cancellations
Please try to give me at least 48 hours notice if you are unable to attend your driving lesson so that I can rearrange the rest of my day and lessons to suit. If you have to go for
an appointment we can pick you up from home and finish your lesson at a different location or the other way around etc. If you need to finish your lesson early, again this is not a problem.
driveJohnson’s have a 24 hour cancellation policy, for most companies
it is 48hrs. So if you cancel a lesson within 24 hours of the start time, that lesson is payable in full.
If I cancel a lesson with less than 24hrs notice, for any reason apart from a saftey risk (normally weather related) then you will not be charged for that lesson, and the following lesson will
be free of charge.
No Show
You will be sent a message once I have arrived at the agreed meeting point, I intend to be there before the agreed times, occasionally traffic conditions may make me run a little late, whenever
I can I will inform you of this. If you are unable to make the agreed meeting time please let me know as soon as possible. I will send a second message before abandoning the lesson after 15 minutes,
lessons abandoned for this reason are chargeable. If you contact me after this time it may not be possible to start your lesson late as I may
have left the area or started doing something else.
Driving Test
If I feel that you are not test ready then you will not be able to use my car for the test, as failure rates are monitored by the DVSA and can result in me having to undertake an early standards check.
You can of course take it in your own car, or a friend’s car, as long as you are insured and have a suitable person to supervise you.
There is no additional fee for using my car for a driving test, just the time at standard driving lesson rates.
